Norfolk Constabulary to Address Broadland Business Breakfast Forum Tomorrow

Norfolk Constabulary will be addressing the Broadland Business Breakfast Forum tomorrow morning and encouraging businesses to work together to help prevent crime in the region.

In the week that crime figures proving Norfolk to be the safest county in the UK, again, were released, the message will be to guard against complacency and that simple preventative steps can make a big difference.

The Forum will also feature a talk from Simon Gerrard, on how businesses can take steps to lower their fuel costs and their carbon footprints. By being more sustainable in the long-term businesses can make themselves more competitive and position themselves to make the most of the coming economic recovery.

Also attending the Broadland Business Breakfast Forum, which is run alongside the Broadland Online Directory, will be Broadland MP Keith Simpson.

For more information on the Broadland Online Business Directory or Forum or the other Online Business Directories in the BOLD group, please contact Jodie McGill or Sue Morter on 08456 345 185 or email info@thelivelycrew.co.uk

Fitness Regime Sweeps The Lively Crew Office

Inspired by Combat Bootcamp, we have decided to set-up a new fitness regime at our Norwich HQ, designed to get the blood and adrenaline pumping.

Under the catchy moniker of '20,20,20,20' all The Lively Crew staff members indulge in 20 sit-ups, 20 press-ups, 20 squats and 20 seconds of the plank. The idea is to counter the many baked good which appear in the office during the course of the week. At this moment there are a selection of biscuits, jaffa cakes, cream cakes and scones which the team are valiantly making their way through.

If you want to help unburden the team and enjoy a biscuit and cup of tea, pop by. We probably won't even make you burn them off afterwards...

Fruit Focus and Combat Bootcamp complete a busy week out of and inside Norwich HQ

We have a busy week inside and outside our Norwich HQ this week, with Fruit Focus and Combat Bootcamp alongside our other client work.

On Tuesday and Wednesday this week Valerie and Andy will be in Kent representing the money-saving, revolutionary Fresh Pod, which utilises ethylene control to keep fruit and veg fresher for upto four times as long as normal. 100% natural and non-toxic, Fresh Pod is a vital cog in the fight against climate change, which can save the average UK family over £400 a year in wasted food. Over 6.7 million tonnes of uneaten food is thrown away in the UK each year, which is terrible news for both the environment and our wallets a loss Fresh Pod can prevent.

Earlier in the week, our Marketing Manager Andy will, along with his football team, be put through his paces by Norfolk military fitness experts Combat Bootcamp. In the middle of a gruelling pre-season Andy has enlisted the support of our sister company to help ensure his side are fighting fit by the start of the season.

We are also delighted to be able to announce that Nicolas Hamilton has agreed to become an ambassador of Disabled Motoring UK, after joining us on the Alps Challenge.

Norfolk Constabulary to address next Broadland Business Breakfast Forum - Broadland businesses encouraged to help fight crime in the area

Following a request from local businesses and to help address crime rates in Broadland, Norfolk Constabulary will be addressing the next Broadland Business Breakfast Forum.

The Constabulary will be updating members on crime in the area and focusing on how businesses can ensure they do not become the victims. This is a great opportunity to join forces with businesses in your area, creating a unified front and learning about best practice in how to protect your business from crime. The breakfast, is taking place at The Green Man Inn, Rackheath on Friday 29th July.

The forum is now in its second year and attracts businesses of all sizes from across the area. 11,000 businesses in the Norfolk area now have the opportunity to enjoy sharing news and businesses through the directories and the various forums – last year alone £100k of businesses passed between two forum members.

Prices for becoming a member of the Broadland Forum have been frozen at only £105 for the year. Your membership covers the cost of the quarterly breakfasts, and enhanced listing on the website, an advert for your business, a listing in the members’ paper directory and a paragraph on the monthly electronic newsletter. Plus we keep you posted of marketing opportunities happening in the area and you get to network with 60 like minded business people.

For more information on the forums or the directory call Jodie or Sue on 01603 702374 or email jodie@thelivelycrew.co.uk or sue@thelivelycrew.co.uk.

Still not sure or if you want to know more about the crime problems and solutions in the area? You are welcome to come along as a guest to the next breakfast. We are limited on space on a first come first served basis with a few seats available at £15 per person.
