Broadland Catering Equipment becomes the first in East Anglia to meet brand new industry standard

Broadland Catering Equipment, who have been servicing commercial kitchens across East Anglia since 1976, have become the first catering equipment company in East Anglia and only the second in the United Kingdom to be able to boast a fully certificated team of engineers.

The two principal trade bodies for the catering equipment industry, the Catering Equipment Distributor Association (CEDA) and the Catering Equipment Suppliers Association (CESA) have combined to establish an industry standard for qualified catering equipment service engineers, to ensure catering professionals are able find reliable and qualified engineers. The accreditation is only available to association members, which is further assurance of high standards with the company itself also being required to meet strict membership criteria. Based in Rackheath, Broadland Catering Equipment’s engineering team are the first in East Anglia to reach the CEDA and CESA standards which cover multiple disciplines and competencies in installing and maintaining catering equipment, including gas, electrical and plumbing standards.

Ensuring the premier qualifications and processes were in place was the driving force behind the company’s decision to putting all their engineers through the rigorous registration process.

Director Colin Chettleburgh said “Broadland Catering Equipment has been established for 35 years. It has flourished, through its positive and pro-active approach to business, constantly training and investing in staff and by gaining essential accreditations. Our reputation is such that most of our new business comes from referrals by satisfied customers. The trust we have built up has been through exceptional customer service with the ability to deliver behind that – if we say we are going to do something we do it on time, as specified and to a very high standard.”

“By ensuring that all our engineers reach the high standards laid down by CEDA and CESA, we know that our customers can rest assured that the work will be undertaken by highly qualified and experienced engineers, ensuring high standards of quality, reliability, safety and cost-effectiveness. That is why we are fully confident to guarantee all the work we undertake.”
Broadland Catering Equipment clients include major players in the tourist industry, care homes, schools, restaurants, community centres, as well as factory and office canteens and a host of other professional caterers.

New Sales Person Joins The Lively Crew

We are delighted to announce that we have welcomed a new sales person to the team, with the arrival of Jaki Holland.

Jaki, who completed a successful work experience placement with us, has joined The Lively Crew's Sales Team, with an emphasis on promoting the Enviro-Pod product range, focussing on Fresh Pod.

Initially based in our Norwich office on Yarmouth Road, Jaki is hoping to grow the company by taking Fresh Pod into new markets, particularly her native London moving forward.

"I am really excited to be joining The Lively Crew and working on Enviro-Pod and Fresh Pod. The whole range really appealed to me and the savings the products can make to both people's wallets and in lowering their carbon footprint make them a natural choice for environmentally conscious individuals in this difficult economic period. I am already receiving some great feeback about the products and I can't wait to develop the entire range further" said Jaki.

For more information on either The Livley Crew or Enviro-Pod, please contact a member of the team on 01603 702374 or email info@thelivelycrew.co.uk.
