Nicolas Hamilton Documentary Date Confirmed

The BBC have announced that they will be screening the Nicolas Hamilton documentary; 'Racing with the Hamilton's, Nic in the Driving Seat' on BBC1 at 10:30pm on Tuesday March 6th 2012.

The documentary, which will focus on Nicolas's driving career so far, is also likely to feature The Lively Crew and Disabled Motoring UK on the Alps Challenge, which Nicolas, accompanied by the BBC film crew, joined us on in June last year.

We were delighted to be able to sign Nicolas up for the Alps Challenge which we organised on behalf of Disabled Motoring UK and saw a team, which also included Baroness Tanni Grey-Thompson and children's TV presenter Ade Adepitan, drive a 1930 Argson Mobility Trike from Norfolk, down to Dover, through France and across the Swiss Alps before returning to a prestigious reception at the Houses of Parliament in London.

Nic was so impressed with the charity that he agreed to become an official ambassador on his return to the UK.

We will be tuning in to see if Nic's driving is better than our Director Valerie Bullard's which you can see here. Compare that to the efforts of lead driver Dan McIntyre, negotiating some of the picteresque scenery, before strapping yourself in.

'Racing with the Hamilton's, Nic in the Driving Seat' will be shown on BBC1 at 10:30pm on Tuesday March 6th 2012.

The Lively Crew Broadland Directory and Forum Praised by Economic Development Manager

The Broadland Online Business Directory and Business Forum has received glowing praise from Broadland District Council Economic Development Manager Hamish Melville.

"I, on behalf of Broadland District Council, would like to pass on my sincere thanks for the way in which your team organise and manage our Business Forum.

We have, in the past, struggled to sustain a consistent and purposeful Business Forum for various reasons. However, now that The Lively Crew is handling all matters concerned with the Forum on our behalf, I am delighted to say they have become enormously popular and successful.

Typically, fifty+ businesses attend the quarterly events, which even attract our local Members of Parliament and feedback would suggest that the local business community in Broadland consider these to be of great value.

We will look forward to continuing to work with you and assist with structuring themes for events on an ongoing basis" said Hamish.

We are delighted that the Forums have been recognised for the positive role they play in the economic development of the Broadland business community. The next Forum is due to take place on Wednesday 25th April.

For more details, or to book your place, please contact Jodie McGill on 01603 702374 or email jodie@broadlanddirectory.co.uk

Breast Aid Launched in UK

We are delighted to announce the UK launch of a fantastic new product from our sister company Enviro-Pod, which can prevent and cure problems and pain associated with breast feeding; Breast Aid.

Breast-Aid pads are the ultimate natural aid for all Mums who want to breast-feed their babies easily and comfortably, and make this unique time with their babies pain and stress free.

These breast warmers are designed as a natural and effective aid to help prevent or ease the common problems associated with breast-feeding, such as:

  • Mastitis (inflammation of the breast)
  • Nipple Vasospasm
  • Letdown
  • Engorgement
  • Expressing
  • Blocked Ducts

The pads utilise NASA technology and uses a mother’s natural body heat, to help prevent and cure problems including mastitis, engorgement, blocked ducts and nipple vasospasm. They also provides fast and effective relief from hard, sore or lumpy breasts and can help with expressing and blocked ducts. They are also ideal for new mothers choosing not to breast feed and having to deal with milk reduction.

Prevention is better than cure, the pads are also recommended to be used immediately after birth as a protection against any potential breast pain problems.

Warming the breasts with Breast Aid is a fast and easy way to help relieve the pain and discomfort, and help the milk flow more easily. Continuation of frequent feeding, to try and "empty" the breast , will help unblock the milk ducts. Feed on the affected breast first. Changing the baby's feeding position may also help.

For more information, or to order your Breast Aids, call 08456 345 185 or email info@enviro-pod.co.uk

Is your business fit for the challenges of 2012?

Broadland business leaders will be advised on how they can ensure their businesses aren’t bloated and sluggish after the festive season, and are instead fit and ready for the challenges of 2012 at the next meeting of the Broadland Business Breakfast Forum which will take place at The Oasis, Norwich on Wednesday 25th January from 7:45am.  All aspects of business health, from staff skills, legislation and finance will be covered by experts in their individual fields.

Ken Crawshaw from Avena will be updating members on data protection legislation concerning the destruction of confidential material and Sarah Lock from AshtonKCJ will be advising members on business debt management in difficult economic times.

Also speaking will be Broadland District Council Head of Economic Development Chris Hill, who will be updating members on the new Rackheath Training Centre, which will provide a first-class business training and development centre in the heart of the Broadland area.

The Broadland Business Breakfast forum is now in its second year and regularly attracts over 60 businesses of all sizes from across the area, ranging from major national and regional employers to start-ups. The forums were set-up to help local businesses weather the current economic storm, by promoting local businesses to their neighbours. So far the forums, which are part of a network covering over 11,000 business in Norfolk, have provided a major economic boost to the members and the region as a whole, with one contact alone being worth over £100,000, retained in the community, rather than spent further afield.

Previously the forums have covered maximising staff training, crime, business start-ups and family business. Whilst these topics have already been covered, advisors in all aspects of business management and support are available at each forum.

For more information on the forums, or to secure your businesses place at the forum, please call Jodie McGill on 01603 702374.
